Freight and Handling

In order to simplify transactions, postage will be a flat fee of $7.50 per order, anywhere in Australia, any size/weight parcel. For any other instructions or changes to our offers, please email us for individual costs.
We do not usually send orders outside of Australia but will happily process international orders for delivery within Australia. All prices quoted are in Australian dollars.
Despatching
Following receipt of your order and payment, we aim to pack and despatch the goods within 3 working days.
Delivery
Our preferred method of shipping is by Australia Post. Generally, as a guide, the following is the expected time of arrival from leaving our warehouse:

Sending Gifts
If you would like to choose a toy from Flying Penguin and have it sent directly to someone you know, for a minimal cost we would be happy to gift wrap and send it on your behalf. Please include your address for billing, a separate address for your gift recipient and the wording you would like included in the gift card.

Recycled Packaging
Wherever possible Flying Penguin staff re-use boxes that have been sent to us. We also recycle other packaging materials that have been included in parcels sent to us in an effort to reduce waste. If you receive items that have been wrapped in blue bubble wrap, we are pleased to advise that TDPA (totally degradable plastic additives) has been blended into the resins of this wrap during production and heat and sunlight will trigger oxidative degradation. This means that the wrap will break down in the presence of micro-organisims, oxygen and soil - it is degradable.

Out of Stock Products
From time to time, there may be products unavailable because of large demand.
This will be shown on individual product information.

Payment Options

Pay On-line
You can pay securely on-line with Mastercard or Visa at the time of placing the order. Your order will be processed in Australian dollars.

Direct Debit
You may deposit payments directly into our bank account. Please contact us if you would like to arrange to pay this way.
Mail Order
We are also happy to take your order via email or mail. You can send a cheque made out to Flying Penguin or wait for an invoice. Once payment is cleared, we will despatch your order. Please remember to include a phone number just in case you have ordered something that is temporarily out of stock.

Phone order
Call us on 02 9516 2842 between 10 and 5pm any day of the week and we will process your order over the phone. Remember the shop has an even wider range of products than this site so if you can’t find what you are after, give us a call!

Pay in person
Of course you are most welcome to come into our shop (expected to open very soon) at 359 King Street, Newtown if you are nearby or visiting. The shop will be open 7 days a week from 10am.

Returns

Damaged or Faulty Goods
In the unlikely event that a product arrives damaged or faulty, please advise us by email at info@flyingpenguin.com.au stating the invoice number and reason for claim. We will then advise you how to return the damaged goods to us. Please then return the product to us intact, together with the invoice and upon our inspection, you will be refunded the cost of the product.

Changed your mind?
We understand that whilst it is easy and economical to shop online, it is not always possible to really know what a product is like until you are holding it in your hands. As we are committed to customer satisfaction, we are enabling you to shop with confidence with our 7 day money back guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with your product you may return it to us, unopened and intact. Please email us at info@flyingpenguin.com.au advising of the reason for the return, quoting the invoice number and advising us of the date and method of return. You are responsible for any costs incurred in returning the product such as postage. We will refund the cost of the product upon its return.

Security and Privacy

Security
We ensure security by using SSL for collecting any personal information. This is the industry standard for the highest level of internet security and means that information you provide, such as your name or credit card number is encrypted so that it cannot be read or intercepted by anyone. Your browser will also confirm that this security mechanism is operating - Internet Explorer does this by displaying a closed padlock at the bottom of your browser.

To ensure that any credit card payments (Visa or Mastercard) are handled securely on our site we do not store your credit card details anywhere on our website.

Privacy

The team at Flying Penguin respect your privacy and National Privacy Laws and will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully.

Flying Penguin will not disclose your personal information to any third party unless it is necessary to process and despatch orders.

We only collect as much information about you as we need to process your order and keep you informed about Flying Penguin’s services and specials. Your name and contact details are collected directly from you when you provide information by phone or email or when you visit our Newtown shop or place an order on our website. We will never collect personal information about you without your explicit consent. If you do not wish to continue to receive email updates, you will have the opportunity to opt out.
